CAS offers Equestrian-based events throughout the year in collaboration with Crescendo Farms in Beaverton, OR, near Portland, or in Victoria, BC. The clinics, usually held in the Fall and Spring, offer Equestrians the opportunity to explore Alexander’s Principles while they are riding.
We work with all styles of riding, from trail, to rodeo, to hunter/jumper, to dressage. We help beginners and accomplished competitors notice and change personal patterns which interfere with the horse’s innate coordination and with the ability for horse and rider to communicate effectively with ease.
Sometimes, we explore the interface of Alexander and complementary equestrian studies, such as Centered Riding and Natural Horsemanship, often working with both teachers and students of those disciplines.
In addition, there are opportunities for Alexander teachers and trainees to learn how to apply the principles with both riders and horses, in both mounted and unmounted situations.
